GRANVILLE
When a stately Victorian property undergoes a sensitive transformation, the results can be nothing short of magical. Our latest Susan Van Meter design journey takes us into a grand 6 bedroom 19th-century home — now reimagined as a timeless yet modern sanctuary for family and friends.
BRIEF: The vision? To honour its historic bones while infusing it with a sleek sophistication, guided by a striking palette of teal, black, white and grey, the clients' preferred colours, a grand Victorian gem meets modern classic.
PROCESS: The client's had just completed on the property when we were engaged to design and refurbish. My team and I had to move swiftly to manage the client's preferred move-in date. We were also appointed as project managers to liaise between the builder and client. The house was stripped to its bare bones and every aspect, from first and second fix to the final details of luxury design, was seamlessly integrated.
RESULTS: The project came together to create a unique and luxurious, contemporary, grand family home, where opulence meets comfort and a Victorian gem meets modern classic.
